The Garden House is a clean and friendly bed and breakfast in a great location in Key West. My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. The price is lower than most Key West bed and breakfasts, which is why we chose this property. We were pleasantly surprised with just how close it was to everything. They kept our room clean and were very cordial to us during our stay. The breakfast was nothing to write home about, but for the price I certainly cannot complain. Definitely a good place to stay if you are looking for Key West charm at a decent price.

This is not a bed and breakfast. It is a bed and bagel. I feel like I am in a youth hostile. Everything is the bare minimum here. Even though the high price advertises cozy luxury. It is far from luxury or cozy anything. This B&B is in operation solely because of the overflow of visitors that are fed into this youth hostile. There is definitely not any returning customers. We have five rooms here and one of our couples need to go home early and they will not refund two nights out of 15. Again this place makes money off of first time customers, NOT returning customers.

Went for two nights to get away. I was surprised to find the room larger than the picture showed. The AC worked great. Location, location, location. So close to everything. Best sleep I had while on vacation. Host we're very accommodating with any request. I would definitely stay there again. Rooms were clean and fresh towels provided daily. Loved the heated pool since the ocean was so cold. Thanks for the great stay!

Weekend getaway. We stayed in the West Indies room for the weekend and had a blast. The location of the Garden House is great. Just a few blocks from all the action. The pool was small and intimate. The staff was so helpful when we asked where we should go, since we had never been to Key West before. We would definitely stay at the Garden House again.

The place is located close enough to where the Key West Express docks so we could walk there. Our room was ready for us when we arrived shortly after 1pm. The room, #9, was small but for the few hours we were there it was fine. There was a refrigerator in the room and a convenient store right around the corner. There's a very nice area outside the room with some lounge chairs and tables. The canopy of tropical plants made it cool and comfortable and an enjoyable place to sit and visit with friends. The breakfast was continental and the staff made sure empty food trays were filled quickly. Some fruit would have been nice and there was no decaf coffee. We did not ask for decaf so it may have been available. Real utensils and plates was a nice touch. The pool was small but clean. I'm sure in the heat of summer it would be a nice place to relax and cool off. All in all it was an okay place. I've stayed in nicer places but for the money, and in Key West, it was adequate, quiet, and very convenient.

We arrived on March 5, 2012 for 2 nights. The advertised write up is not even close to what we expected - it's worse. There were 3 good experiences out of a 10 as follows: 1) Nancy, the manager, was very hospitable. 2) The breakfast was extremely basic we went out for breakfast on the second day. 3) Happy hour at 5 PM was nice with the small pool and garden setting. The Ugly 1) Our first room was old (not antique old) blistered paint on the wall 2) The bathroom was old and dingy with bleach spots on the towels (scary isn't it) 3) We were relocated to room next door on the second night which we agreed to but we had to move everything ourselves when we were promised help. 4) Our second room was worse than the first - it had 2-1ft wide closets (our bags would not fit. There was no chairs in the room. There were 2 receptacles ( 1 was full). 5) Dead bugs on the window sills. 6) Small refrigerators had no bars on the doors to hold beverages. 7) The advertised heated pool was not heated. We selected the B&B as a last minute decision to travel to Key West and the location was convenient as well as room availability during the college break. The brochure is not what you'll see. It appears the the owner is trying to maintain the property with minimal investment. The units are in dire need of repair. I'll do more research the next time but we had a good time for our first visit to Key West.
